Habitat – Privacy Policy
Effective date: 15 October 2026 · App: Habitat (com.manextapps.habitat) · Developer: ManextApps
In short
Habitat is a personal wellness tracker that works completely offline. There is no account, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. Everything you log stays on your device. The app does not request internet access, so it cannot send your entries anywhere.
What Habitat stores, and where
Everything below is saved only in Habitat's private storage on your phone or tablet:
- Water logs: amount and time.
- Food logs: Healthy or Unhealthy, time, and an optional note you type.
- Workouts: activity type, planned length, duration and start and end times.
- Sleep: the times you tap Good night and Good morning. Habitat does not measure sleep quality.
- Settings: units, selected glass size, optional personal goals, reminder and widget preferences.
We, the developer, never receive or have access to any of this information.
What Habitat does not do
- No account, sign-in, email or phone number.
- No advertising, advertising ID or ad SDKs.
- No analytics, crash-reporting or tracking SDKs.
- No location, contacts, camera, microphone, health sensors or Health Connect access.
- No selling or sharing of data with anyone.
Permissions
- Notifications (optional): asked for only if you turn on water reminders. Reminders are created on the device and contain no personal data. You can turn them off at any time in Settings.
- Run at startup: lets a running workout timer and the home-screen widgets update correctly after your device restarts.
Home-screen widgets
Habitat's widgets can show today's totals on your home screen, where anyone holding your phone can see them. You can hide totals on all widgets (Settings → Hide totals on widgets) or on a single widget from its options.
Backups, export and deletion
- Cloud backup: Habitat excludes your data from Android's automatic cloud backup.
- Phone-to-phone transfer: when you move to a new device with Android's direct device-to-device transfer, your Habitat history and settings may be copied to the new device. This happens between your own devices and does not involve us.
- Export: Settings → Export my data saves a JSON copy to a location you choose. What happens to that file afterwards is up to you.
- Delete: you can delete any single entry, or delete everything at once with Settings → Delete all data. Uninstalling Habitat also removes all of its data from the device.
Children and teens
Habitat is designed for teens and adults aged 13 and over. It does not collect personal information from anyone, of any age. Parents or guardians with questions can contact us at the address below.
Health information
Habitat is for personal tracking only. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Talk to a healthcare professional about your health.
Changes to this policy
If Habitat's data practices change, for example if a feature is added that uses the internet, we will update this page and the effective date before that version is released.
